Fosters FC, who were formed in 2004 by Phil Harbury, Paul Holbrook and Kevin Good had a very turbulent beginning. We started out of our depth in the senior division of the Bristol and Wessex sunday league (the only place available to us), consequently some players felt they could not cope and left. Results then went from bad to worse and so did the discipline. After the league had suspended us for a while, we ended the season in debt, relegated and with a bad reputation. Kevin Good had left during the season which left just Phil and Paul. All credit for not giving up when that would have been the easy option.

During the summer of 2005 we decided to change the clubs format. We should develop a constitution, code of conduct and form a proper committee. This meant we now had a much stronger club and we began the season with a few new players. While we never really troubled the top teams, we did finish mid table. Our restructuring had worked, we had cleared all the dept and improved the discipline.
With the club now established on firm foundations, our third season was a case of trying to improve the players we had and start to make an impression in the league. A steady season saw us finish in fith place with a much better record. We received just two cautions all season, our best disciplinary record yet and one many clubs would envy.

Our fourth season is about to begin, Cliffs Florists have now offered us a sponsorship deal (thanks Cliff), which should help us safeguard the long term future of the club. We are also moving to a new home, at The Pen Park Sports Ground, which we hope will help us attract some new players to replace our aging ones. This all gives us a great deal of hope that the new season will be our best yet.

Our fixtures can be found listed at our home ground in the lobby or by using this link to our leagues website, games kick off at 10.30 sunday mornings.
