The bus is a local event held each year to raise money for charity. The actual bus is an open top bus, decorated with Christmas lights, carrying Father Christmas around the community. If you would like to know more about us and how the bus came to be, then click here.

The bus will spend 3 nights around the Southmead area. Click here for the dates and times so you too can enjoy in the fun and festivities!

Take a moment and look around our website and keep checking back for the latest information on some of our events! Be sure to visit our picture galleries and learn about the clubs involved in Southmead Pride. New pictures and galleries added weekly!

We also raise money to help out our schools and much more! Money raised by the Southmead Carol Bus Appeal in 2007 will be for:

NSPCC AND SPORTS IN SOUTHMEAD FOR KIDS

If you would like to donate or need more information on anything, contact us and we'll gladly help! Remember that the joy of giving is unsurpassed by any other feeling besides love. Become involved and brighten up someone's day not only during the holidays but throughout the year! That is Southmead Pride and the spirit of the Christmas Carol Bus Appeal!

The Southmead Christmas Carol Bus is sponsoring the majorettes again! After 8 years, when the old majorettes in Southmead finished, we decided to get it started again. This will be something for children to do if they dont like outside sports.

SOUTHMEAD PRIDE MAJORETTES: The new troop started a few months ago and we will be only doing one show this year which will be the final of the karaoke on the 18th October. Children aged 4 upwards are really doing well. Chris, the coach, said they will be ready for that day and the older ones will be ready with the flags. They have all got there outfits and looking forward to the day. Any one who would like to join please ring Cliff for more information at 01179 593999.

D STREETS: We have been going seven months now and the troop is growing all the time. This summer we have done shows all over Bristol, and surrounding areas, such as schools, fetes and private parties and the COLSTON HALL. Thanks to all the people who are in the dance troop and the parents and DWAIN our teacher, From a troop who did nothing to a troop which is recognized all over BRISTOL! We will be appearing in the final of the karaoke on the 18th October 2009. If you are interested in joining or booking, please give us a ring on 01179 593999.

YEAR 2008-9
Well another good year though the carol bus broke down on the 13th, the parade went a head on the 19th, December. We had to decorated another bus and Father Christmas came back off his busy schedule, just for the children of Bristol!

The mechanics found out while working on the bus that weekend that somebody sabotaged our bus, but it didn't stop us bringing the bus to its home place -- SOUTHMEAD! Plenty came and gave us their support on that night. THANKS!

On the 15th December, the Carol bus was pleased to help out with the LORD MAYORS CHILDREN'S APPEAL taking the bus from the Bristol downs, though park street and into the centre, it was the First time a Christmas Carol bus had been the into Bristol centre for over 20 years, good luck to the Lord Mayor and the ROTARY CLUB with their Appeal.

After everything was paid out Southmead Christmas bus appeal sent money to the BRISTOL CHILDREN HOSPITAL. And a great dance group called Ds STREETS received sponsorship from the carol bus, they started their classes over Yate, and comes to Southmead Community Centre in January, so if you are interested please let us know, it was another good thing, I thought it will give the local children of all ages to do. Hopefully competitions in the near further!

On the 13th December when the carol bus had its Christmas party, I arranged a surprise visit by Ds STREET, which went down a bomb! We will have pictures come on the site in the new year,.

A big thanks to any one that helped out in any way, Especially GRAHAM DEN, MARTIN, LORRIANE ROGER, AND MY MUM AND DAD, AND MY WIFE NUKI, BRISTOL SIGHT SEEING TOUR, WARWICK, KEN ,MIKE, PROFESSIONAL HYGIENE, TRADE IT, ROLLS ROYCE, MERCERS, AND THE WOODNOOK BINGO CLUB! MANY THANKS AGAIN!!
